The rules for snipers are:
a. Full auto minimum engagement distance is 5m, anything under this an the player MUST switch to single shot only
b. The sniper (bolt action) 500fps using 0.2g bbs. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The rules for AEG are:
a. Semi auto or single shot
b. NO FULL AUTO
c. Pistol 350fps using 0.2g bbs
DMR 425 fps using 0.2g bbs (must be locked to semi only either physically or electronically no full auto function will be allowed).
Any DMR'S / SNIPER RIF's are not to be used at a range of less than 20m. Any persons wishing to use these types or RIF’s must carry a secondary RIF, ie. a pistol. Any player/s found to be ignoring the 20m engagement range will be firstly warned, if continually ignoring the rule they will be refused to play any further part with that particular RIF. A player must be able to gauge 20m, No trigger spamming aloud (DMR),
Attempting to chrono using an exceptionally heavy bb (.3,4) is grounds for permanent ban at NTAC Airsoft You must chrono with .25 or lower and all weapons will be chronoed before the start of Event / Play. Whether you have been chronoed at NTAC before or not.
Calling Shots and Hit’s
A hit to any part of the body or piece of gear (back pack, holster etc) counts as a hit. Hit players should immediately yell HIT!! And raise their weapon over their heads. You keep your hand/weapon up, as other players have no way of knowing you are out.
Keep your weapon raised while moving to respawn zones and out of the play area. Otherwise players (friendly and enemy) will be planning and acting as if you are still in the game. This confuses both teams and can lead you to getting repeatedly shot on your way to respawn.
Gun hits do NOT count
If you believe another player is consistently not calling hits, do not wait until after the game to spread rumors on the internet or engage that person in anyway. Seek out a member of staff / Marshall and explain the issue. Try to gather as complete a description of the event and individuals involved so staff can act on the information.
This goes for all NTAC.
SAFETY
Safety is our primary goal at NTAC CQB. Players under 18 must wear a full face paintball style mask.
DO NOT remove your goggles in gameplay. If for some reason you absolutely MUST, make sure you are in a safe area and call BLINDMAN. Have a teammate protect you from potential fire by shielding your face with their body while you adjust/clear fog. You MAY NOT simply call BLINDMAN without someone to protect you. Removing your goggles without doing so is grounds for permanent banning at NTAC. Owning anti-fog googles such as ESS Turbofans or JT Proflex can help reduce risk, and is a good investment for any player.
NEVER fire on a target you cannot see. This is a bannable offense. This includes firing behind you while running, Firing over an obstacle without looking yourself, and sticking a gun throught a whole you cannot see throught and pulling the trigger.
SEMI-ONLY IN BUILDINGS
While in the confines of any building or the The Village itself, You MUST fire in semi automatic only. Players in the The Village MUST shoot at these players in semi auto only. This is the rule. Follow it or play somewhere else.
SAFETY KILLS
This is not a tactical tool, but rather a safety and common courtesy. If you have a player DEAD TO RIGHTS at close range you MUST say SAFETY KILL or BANG BANG. That player must IMMEDIATELY honor the kill. You may not kill multiple players with a single call, or safety kill a player who is facing you, weapon up. In these instances you should always play out the encounter. In order to commit a safety kill, you MUST have your own weapon ready to fire.
Always aim for the center of mass (Torso) when shooting. DO NOT aim for the head. Keep your weapon at chest height or lower, especially in a CQB setting. Aiming high can lead to severe injury and bypass many safety precautions including googles. DON’T DO IT.
SPECIAL WEAPONS
Special weapons (sniper rifles, grenade launchers, etc) should be approved by the staff prior to use.
Weapons firing projectiles have a 10-15 foot blast radius from where the rocket COMES TO REST. All players within the radius should call themselves out as if they were hit. This is not to be disputed. Rockets may have additional functions like disabling vehicles and buildings at the event runner’s discretion.
Hand Grenades must be thrown underhand and have a 10-15 foot blast radius from their place of detonation. They must make a BANG noise or have some other indicator of detonation, faux grenades are not allowed. A grenade firing bbs does not have to strike you to count as a kill, it has a blast radius like all others. If you are somehow hit by a bb OUTSIDE the radius, you are still eliminated. BB IMPACTS ARE ALWAYS HITS.
ATTITUDE
Respect the Staff, Listen to their briefings, and pay attention to the objectives they assign you. DO NOT ruin other people’s fun by failing to understand what’s going on and keep the spirit of the event/game alive.
Airsoft is meant to be fun and at NTAC CQB we encourage all levels of play.
All rules will be strictly enforced to ensure player safety, fun and the integrity of the game of airsoft.
Anyone that does not adhere to the field rules will be removed from the field and asked to leave. They will not be entitled to any refunds, regardless of the amount of time they have played for. (ex. If a player is on the field for 5 minutes and has broken the rules to the point where they are asked to leave.)
